Fully Funded Scholarships for International Students

The fully funded McDonald Fellowships for the year 2023-2024 are aimed at supporting international students who are interested in pursuing a master's or PhD degree.These fellowships consist of a two-year A yearly grant of around £30,000 GBP will be provided to cover living and travel expenses, and an extra contribution of £2,000 GBP per year will also be made to the host institution.

For Early Career Researchers

The McDonald Fellowship is specifically designed for early career researchers who specialize in multiple sclerosis and hail from low- and middle-income countries. It aims to provide them with an opportunity to work in a research institution outside of their own country. Following the completion of the fellowship program, we expect applicants to be able to use their newly developed expertise and networks to continue their research and/or patient care in low- and middle-income countries.

- Candidates interested in pursuing MS research in another low- or middle-income country are also eligible
- Candidates must select their host institute before applying either from their home country or a neighboring country.
- To be eligible for nomination, candidates need to be either employed or pursuing education in a low- or middle-income country according to the World Bank classification.
- Candidates must also be studying abroad for a project that is being supported by a grant from the MS International Federation.
